Anuar is a Managing Partner and CIO at Tengri Partners (TP) Investment Bank (Almaty, Kazakhstan).

Over his tenure at TP, Anuar placed a lot of effort into developing merchant banking activities of the group. Under his management, the TP team has been very active in sourcing and assessing private equity opportunities with local and international counterparties.

Anuar is an M&A specialist with significant financial advisory and principal investment expertise. Over 5 years of work experience at international investment banks - Goldman Sachs and Societe Generale CIB – in London.

Over $10 billion in deal structuring volume. Over 5 years of experience in managing financial organizations.

Giovanni is an independent Board Member in the Kazakhstan Stability Fund and in Jusan Bank (Kazakhstan).

He is the former Head of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) office in Kazakhstan (2016-2020). During his 18-year service in ADB he served as Principal Macro-Financial Economist and Special Advisor to the Dean of the ADB Institute in Tokyo, Japan.

He has a wide global network of institutional investors and a substantial expertise in designing sustainable development strategies and projects. Giovanni is the author of a large number of economic publications, including books, peer-reviewed articles, and reports.

He holds a Masters and PhD in Economics from Hitotsubashi University, (Tokyo) and an Economics Degree from Bocconi University (Milano).
